Player Development
A Pathway, Not a Repeat Class
Students progress through defined training levels. Movement between levels is guided by coaching observation and confirmed by the Head Coach.
New Student
Start With Us
Most new students begin in Level 1, regardless of prior experience, unless advised otherwise by the Head Coach.
Level 1
Beginner / Development
Grip, technique, serving, footwork, court movement, consistency, basic singles and doubles positioning, match play and training habits.
Assessment
Head Coach Assessment
End-of-term assessment determines whether a student remains in Level 1, trains at increased intensity, prepares for Level 2 or progresses.
Level 2
Intermediate Development
For students who have demonstrated technical ability, movement, consistency and training maturity. Entry is by Head Coach approval.
Future
Advanced Development
Competition and performance pathways are introduced on a case-by-case basis and personally conducted by the Head Coach.
Level 2 entry
Assessment, Not Self-Selection
Level 2 is not an open booking category. Progression is subject to approval by our Head Coach, based on technical ability, movement, consistency and training maturity.
Existing Level 1 students may undertake an end-of-term assessment. New students who believe they are already at an intermediate level can request a Level 2 assessment rather than enrolling directly.
